We went here for Valentine's Day, which was very enjoyable. I think they are not only gastronomic gods they are also artists. The presentation was exceptional. Service relaxed and non invasive. I had the brill, and it was brilliant. Cooked perfectly. It seems like a strange location for such a classy eatery. Literarily just off the main road from Macclesfield to Congleton. Once you come through the doors, you're warmly welcomed, and the food is well thought out and cooked superbly. I couldn't afford to come here often, but for treats, it's perfect.

We were staying in Goostrey for the weekend and booked this absolutely lovely restaurant for the Saturday evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful with stunning decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious - I had the tuna to start and the brill for my main - I couldn’t fault it. The service was friendly and the experience exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The very best Beef Fillet I have ever had! A lovely little place in an unexpected location. Brilliant, friendly, and professional service throughout. A treat with friends, we had the 7 course tasting menu over a leisurely 3 hour lunch. An amuse bouche followed by 2 starter dishes, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. The food up to the desserts was utterly amazing, the desserts probably didn't match the standard of the other courses but the beef with the bone marrow sauce was a very hard act to follow and we plan to return to try it Al a carte! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Went to the steak frites evening. We upgraded to the chateaubriand. Everything about this place is fabulous. The food. The service. The atmosphere. It is ran by a family and that is what you feel. If you are going out to treat someone special. This is one of the best places.

Lovely setting and atmosphere. We went here before we went to Jodrell Bank! We enjoyed our mains very much (this was at a supplementary charge to the set menu charges but this is obvious when looking at the menu), the mains were worth the additional charge. The chips were buttery and melt in your mouth. The starters - were not my favourite due to them being on the colder side but that’s a personal preference.

All good food thanks but lacking something. Seared tuna as starter was a little bland. Mains was venison that was cooked perfectly. Limited menu that possibly wouldn't satisfy some. Generally nice restaurant, polite staff and nice food. Yes we would go back but certainly not rushing there, no wow factor. Didn't feel good value for money. Maybe Sunday lunch would be a better experience.
